Beach Report
Amazing waters, cosmopolitan beach bars and choices for water sports. Black sand and crystal clear waters. The beach has been awarded with an E.U. Blue Flag.
Good to know: South and east winds blowing which sometimes may be strong. Available deckchairs, snacks and drinks. Beach volley fields also available.
Kamari Beach
A beach awarded with two E.U. Blue Flags, well-organized, with a lifeguard and plenty of room of lying free on the sand. Plenty of proposals for water sports.
Good to know: The water here is quite deep. Walking up the hill of Profitis Ilias for 20′ you will find the chapel of Zoodohos Pigi, where there is a spring with running water.
Red Beach
Everything here is red. It has been officially judged unsuitable for visiting due to unpredictable landslides so prefer to view this beach through boat sailing.
Good to know: The temperature here seems to be twice as high as the rest of the island. You should be equipped with hats, water and suntan lotion.
Vlychada Beach
One of the most beautiful organized beaches, ideal for those who do not like a hubbub of crowded places. The volcano white rocks remind a moon landscape.
Good to know: The last part of the beach is the favorite spot of naturists and nudists.
Monolithos Beach
The ideal destination for families with kids. Spacious flat beach with dark-colored sand and shadow waters. For teenagers and adults there are water sport facilities.
Good to know: At Beach Arena you will find facilities for beach soccer, basketball and volleyball, as well as space to play beach racquetball.
